COVID 19 Plan
May 29, 2020
My dear friends:Due to the continued social distancing order in Maryland and Northern Virginia, I will not be running my summer theater programs in the same way as I have the past four summers. However, I don't want GGT to sleep all summer! After all, "the show must go on! Come rain, come shine, come snow, come sleet," come covid19, come quarantine! (Song quote: "Make 'Em Laugh" from Singin' in the Rain.) I am offering two radio play camps as well as monologue, playwriting and story composition workshops!
These are not the programs I normally run. I am not looking to give a substitute or a version of the usual camp experience. These are distinct programs made specifically for this unique time. Although we cannot yet gather together as we used to, we can and should have a creative project to immerse ourselves in that ignites our imaginations and call us to share our talents and serve by being messengers of joy. The programs are each a month long, with zoom meetings to provide guidance, gentle deadlines, and connection with peers working on the same/similar projects. I will have open office hours each week.
The specific dates and more information can be found on the registration page here. This is the link to sign up: Socially Distant Programs Registration.
Please let me know if you have any questions or thoughts on these new, adapted programs!
Best wishes,
Kiley
